Nico Vermeulen was born in Mafikeng where he matriculated. After his military service he studied at Stellenbosch University and obtained a B. Econ. Degree and later a B.Comm (Hons) degree at the Rand Afrikaans University. He completed a Senior Business Management Programme at the Stellenbosch Business School. Nico resigned from Transnet during 1992 to further his own private career. He has since been involved in a diverse number of businesses either as shareholder/partner of sole member. He has an intimate knowledge of small to medium size businesses and is ready to assist any forthcoming entrepreneurs.
