Rory Miller - Principal. Rory is originally from KwaZulu Natal and
attended Merchiston Prep and Maritzburg College. He studied for a Legal B.A. at
the PMB campus of Natal University. He has a Diploma in Public Relations from
Intec and Management Advancement Programme at Wits Business School. His career
started at Anglo American in HR and then as Divisional Manager. He later became
the Divisional Manager HR in the Spar Group. Rory then transferred into line
management and took over the running of the Refridgerated DC. He became GM for
CoMat International controlling the warehouses and stock distribution for SAA
worldwide. Rory continued his logistics and supply chain experience at
Woolworths. He started management consulting in 1999 and has continued to
consult and advise to a variety of Blue Chip companies including Unitrans
Freight, Anglo Zimele, Impala Platinum, Richards Bay Minerals amongst others.
Since joining
Aldes Rory successfully secured offers for 20 deals in 2006, 23 in 2007 and 22
in 2008. This makes Rory the leading broker on offers signed, and in 2008 was
the top Broker for deals signed and gross commission earned. Under his
leadership Active were also the top Franchise in 2008. Rory’s conversion rate
from offer to successful deal is around 65% also a leading statistic in the
group.

Eric
Abrahamson
started his career with Pilot Radio SA while at the same time
studying for a B Comm. He then transferred to work for the company in London for
three years and attended the London School of Economics as a part time student.
He returned to Pilot SA as their commercial director. In 1966 he started a new
business in the name of United Radio and Television which was sold to his
partner in 1971. Eric then joined KIC appliances which eventually became
wholly owned by Whirlpool USA where he was continually employed for the next 30
years. Eric has a broad understanding of the radio, TV, furniture and appliance
industry in the manufacture, distribution and marketing of these durable
consumer products. His passion during all those years in business was to achieve
the best results by making sure that the people he dealt with were happy and
comfortable in their dealings with him. Eric's enthusiasm sometimes results in
him being inclined to be a little pedantic in his search to conclude a deal with
a win-win resolution for all parties.

Kevin Foot.
Kevin’s background has been with major corporates, in marketing,sales and
general management; but always in a cross functional environment.
He spent 12 years with a major South African branded FMCG manufacturer,
leading the International team, marketing branded products into Africa,
Indian Ocean Islands, Middle East, America’s and the Far East - China being
the biggest focus. He has also helped foreign companies wanting to establish
a presence in the RSA market. Kevin owned a business consultancy, working
with SMME’s and SME’s, building their capacity, resources, ensuring their
business is geared for the future – as an Executive Associate of the
Institute For Independent Business (The IIB). His generalist management
skills and all round business knowledge will enable him to match sellers and
buyers in a mutually beneficial way,

Thom Luhning
With over 20 years experience in Operations and General
Management, Organisational Development, Supply Chain, HR and Training
