Company
Structure
Aldes is a
(Pty) Limited company with it's a Head
Office in Durban. A regional office in
Gauteng and 50 franchises spread across the
country including Namibia and Zimbabwe. Our
directors are Mike Hindle and Ferdie Van
Greunen.
Opportunities
As an Aldes
franchisee enormous potential exists to earn
excellent commission earnings, not only
through the sale of businesses but also
other franchises we represent.
For a
sales/marketing entrepreneur wishing the
flexibility of his/her own business whilst
still enjoying the full support and backup
of a trusted organisation, this franchise
represents an ideal opportunity to be “on
your own but not alone”.
Another
advantage of this field is that even in
times of recession, as a business broker you
will flourish. The reason is simple – in
difficult time’s sellers become more
realistic in their selling prices, whereas
buyers are always available to purchase good
opportunities. Many buyers are also entering
the market as they cannot find employment or
cannot live on their retrenchment packages
or pensions.
As a
franchisee, the service you offer is
two-fold: the sourcing of buyers for clients
wishing to sell and the securing of suitable
businesses for qualified buyers.
Earning
Potential
The earning
potential of a franchisee is entirely
dependent on the person. Aldes do not
purport this as a ‘get rich quick scheme’
but this industry is one of the few where
one can write their own cheque in terms of
commission earnings.
The groups
average transaction sale value for 2009 is
R1.6 million with a commission of R 94 400
an average of 5.9%. Our normal commission
basis is 10% however with a number of larger
business transactions we have had to
negotiate this amount. For the first quarter
of 2010 the average is R3.1 million with a
commission of R186 000.
If you are a
successful sales/marketing person with a
sound business or financial background,
willing to go that extra mile to reap
substantial rewards, then this business
opportunity is well worth looking into.
The Market
Sellers
Apart from
Aldes outlets most other business sales are
carried out by small firms of business
brokers, estate agents and various other
investment advisors dabbling in businesses.
Businesses
for sale vary according to size of area but
American statistics say 10 / 15% could be
for sale at any one time. The average
broker can effectively only handle 5 to 10
businesses at any time - the market is
therefore enormous.

Growth
As with most
countries around the world it is the small
to medium size businesses that help the
country’s growth and create employment.
South Africa is no different and our
government emphasis is to promote this
sector and plough funds into its expansion.
At Aldes we
are also committed to the growth of our
country by helping people to get involved in
businesses whether they are franchises or
established going concerns.
We are also
heavily committed to the expansion and
improvement of our own organisation through
our in-house database software programs, and
keeping up to date with new legislation and
following our goal of establishing an Aldes
Franchise in all viable business areas
throughout South Africa, Africa and
eventually worldwide.
Franchisee
Commitment
The
obligations of a franchisee to the franchise
group are as follows:
-
To adhere
to sound and ethical business practices
and follow the code of conduct as set
down by our governing body, The Estate
Agents Affairs Board.
-
To at all
times do nothing that may compromise the
good name of the franchise group or harm
their fellow franchisees.
-
To meet
their agreed commitment to introduce ‘X’
amount of businesses per month.
-
To
timeously make payment of their
franchise fee.
-
To
provide suitable office premises,
furnishings, computer equipment and
software to Aldes requirements in order
to maintain a high standard of
professionalism.
